Welcome to incandenza music group—the sonic laboratory inhabited by Kenneth Harrison and Roberta Carter Harrison.
Music industry veterans with a diverse catalogue spanning pop, indie, EDM, Lofi, ambient and neoclassical genres, the duo have turned their attention in recent years to media composition. This transition occurred naturally after numerous music syncs in tv/film.
Kenneth is the vintage keyboard obsessed half of the duo. In recent years, Kenneth has turned his attention to composing for film. Having amassed a sizeable collection of vintage keyboards from Buy and Sell sleuthing during tours with Wild Strawberries, Kenneth now has time to put these finds to work. This has coincided with a discovery of David Foster Wallace’s Infinite Jest and imagining what it’d be like to score James Incandenza’s film catalogue. A serendipitous meeting with director/writer Joan Carr-Wiggin led to Kenneth composing the score for Joan’s feature films Getting To Know You (2020) , A Grand Romantic Gesture (2022) and Better Days (2024).
Ken has also collaborated with a wide range of musicians including ATB, Thom Donovan, Matt Darey, daybreakers, Ashwin Sood and Matt Brubeck with a number of side projects including Htennek Niwshsa, PANTōNE VU, and boywonderbread. Htennek Niwhsa [Nettwerk Music Group] is a solo piano project whose new LP a part was recorded at the Arvo Pärt Centre in Estonia. PANTōNE VU return in September 2025 with a new collection of electronic instrumental music entitled Famous Speeches of the 23rd Century. PANTōNE VU also just returned from recording at the National Music Centre in Calgary working with the unwieldy TONTO synthesizer. Stay tuned.
Roberta loves to collaborate and continues to write and record music with musicians around the globe. Her work with ATB led to several performances on Top of the Pops. She has had her music featured in films with Angelina Jolie, Kevin Bacon, Minnie Driver. Recent collaborations have included DJ TH, Raz Nitzan, Costa, Alan Morris and William Schneider.
Roberta and Ken have also collaborated with their son Reuben on an ambient project P-RAM with a growing catalogue of highly syncable atmospheric compositions.
